ITINERARY

This 8-day Austrian tour takes you through the scenic Tyrol and Salzburg regions, with highlights including the steam train ride, panoramic views from Innsbruck’s Bergisel ski jump, and a boat trip on the stunning Achensee. Discover the musical legacy of Salzburg, explore historic cities like Kitzbühel, and enjoy traditional alpine experiences. End your journey with a visit to the charming Wolfgangsee before departing from Munich.




Day 1 | Arrival in Tyrol (-/-/D)

Arrive at Munich airport, where you’ll meet your tour guide before traveling to Austria. Check-in at your hotel in the Innsbruck region, enjoy a welcome drink, and have dinner before an overnight stay in the Innsbruck area.


Day 2 | Ziller Valley (B/-/D)

Head out to Ziller Valley, where you'll board a charming steam train in Kaltenbach, traveling to Mayrhofen, accompanied by music and schnapps. Enjoy some free time in Mayrhofen, with an optional visit to Mayrhofen Dairy. Dinner and overnight in the Innsbruck area.


Day 3 | Innsbruck (B/-/D)

Travel to Innsbruck for a guided tour of this picturesque city. In the morning, visit the Bergisel ski jump, where you will take a funicular and elevator to the top for a panoramic view. Explore the Golden Roof, one of the most photographed sights in Innsbruck, and the St. James Cathedral, a baroque masterpiece. In the afternoon, take a funicular ride to Hungerburg,

followed by a cable car trip to Seegrube at 1,911 meters for stunning views. Dinner and overnight in Innsbruck. Optional: Experience a traditional Tyrolean evening with music and dance.


Day 4 | Achensee (B/L/D)

After breakfast, depart for Achensee, the largest lake in Tyrol. Enjoy a boat ride between the villages of Achenkirch and Pertisau, followed by a traditional lunch at an alpine restaurant at 1,263 meters. Afterward, take some free time in Pertisau before hopping aboard the original rack railway from Seespitz to Jenbach, powered by a historic 124-year-old locomotive.

Afterward, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the Innsbruck area.


Day 5 | Wolfgangsee – Salzburg (B/-/D)

Travel to Wolfgangsee and take a boat trip from St. Gilgen to St. Wolfgang. In the afternoon, ride the rack railway to the top of Schafberg. Later, check into your hotel in Salzburg or the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight in the Salzburg region.


Day 6 | Salzburg (B/-/D)

Enjoy a guided tour of Salzburg, a city closely tied to Mozart's legacy. Visit the impressive fortress, the baroque cathedral, and the Residence, a grand 16th-century building. Explore Mozart Square and his birthplace at No. 9 Getreidegasse, a famous street known for its unique shops and courtyards. In the afternoon, enjoy free time, and for an extra experience, consider visiting Hellbrunn Castle and its famous water games. Dinner and overnight in the Salzburg area.


Day 7 | Zell am See – Mittersill – Kitzbühel (B/-/D)

Journey to the Pinzgau region and ride the Pinzgau train from Zell am See to Mittersill. Then continue to Kitzbühel, where you’ll have free time to explore the famous ski resort. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in the Salzburg area.


Day 8 | Departure (B/-/-)

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Munich airport.
