Embark on a captivating journey through Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary, exploring rich cultural heritage, scenic vineyards, historic cities, and unforgettable local flavours.
Day 1 | Ljubljana – Maribor (-/-/D)
Arrive at Ljubljana Airport and meet your driver and tour escort. Transfer to your hotel in Maribor or its surroundings. Enjoy a traditional dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Maribor.
Day 2 | Maribor – Ptuj – Maribor (B/-/-)
In the morning, embark on a city tour of Maribor, followed by a short drive to Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town, nestled between the rolling wine hills and the Drava River. Take a brief walk through the historic town, including a visit to Ptuj Castle. Afterward, explore the Ptuji Wine Cellar, one of the oldest in Slovenia, where you’ll learn about and taste local wines such as Haloze Sauvignon, Sipon, and Laski Riesling. Overnight in Maribor.
Day 3 | Maribor – Jeruzalem – Maribor (B/-/D)
Enjoy a full-day excursion to the renowned wine region of Jeruzalem. Start with a visit to a pumpkin oil mill, where you can taste various oils and learn about their production. Lunch will be served at a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Malek Vineyard, located amidst breathtaking terraced vineyards between Svetinje and Jeruzalem. This 350-year-old building once served as a majestic wine press. Taste their exceptional wines and explore the small winemaking museum and ancient cellar. Dinner and overnight in Maribor.
Day 4 | Maribor – Graz (B/-/D)
After breakfast, depart for Graz. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel, then enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Graz.
Day 5 | Graz (B/-/D)
Today, take a city tour of Graz, where you’ll visit the famous “Uhrturm” clock tower in the historic old town, as well as the Glockenspiel, Graz Opera, and the Municipal Parish Church. After lunch (on your own), continue to one of the highlights of the tour – the Federal Stud Piber in Koeflach, located 45 km west of Graz. This facility has a rich 400-year tradition and is home to the world-renowned white stallions that perform at Vienna's Spanish Riding School. Dinner and overnight in Graz.
Day 6 | Graz – Lake Neusiedl – Vienna (B/L/-)
Take a scenic drive to Lake Neusiedl, located at the border between Austria and Hungary. Visit the Opitz Winery for a tasting of local wines and specialties, followed by a leisurely lunch. Continue your journey to Vienna, where you’ll overnight.
Day 7 | Vienna (B/-/D)
Explore Vienna with a half-day city tour, including a walking tour through the historic old town. This tour will introduce you to Vienna's most significant historical landmarks, including the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Natural History Museum, the Hofburg (former Habsburg winter residence), the Parliament, City Hall, and the Burgtheater. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore at your leisure. In the evening, enjoy folklore music, traditional food, and wine at one of the cozy wine taverns on the outskirts of Vienna. Overnight in Vienna.
Day 8 | Vienna – Vienna Airport (B/-/-)
Transfer to Vienna Airport after breakfast.
